Listening SectionIn this section of the test, you will have the chance to show how well you understand spoken English. There are four parts to this section, with special directions for each part.
Part I. Pictures
Question 1 to 4
Directions: For each question, there is a picture in your test book and four short statements about it on the tape. They are spoken twice, and are not written out in your test book, so you must listen carefully. You must choose one statement- A, B, C, or D that best describes the picture. Then, on your answer sheet, mark your choice.
Example
Look at the picture and listen to the four sentences.
A. The woman is touching the screen
B. The doctor is sitting behind the patient
C. The patient is being examined
D. The visitors are leaving the hospital
Choice (C) – “The patient is being examined” – best describes what is seen in the picture. Therefore, you should mark (C) on your answer sheet.

Number 2. Look at picture number 2

Number 4. Look at picture number 4

B. The passengers are boarding on the train
C. The train runs through the tunnel
D. The man is getting off the train
Part II Questions Responses
Question: 5 to 8
Directions: In this part of the test, you will hear several questions spoken in English, followed by three responses, also spoken in English. The questions and responses will be spoken twice. They will not be printed in your test book, so you must listen carefully to understand what the speakers say. You have to choose the best response to each question.
Now listen to a sample question.
You will hear:
Could you work until nine tonight?
You will also hear :
A. No, it doesn’t work.
B. Yes, you can go to work now.
C. No, I have to be home by eight.
Choice (C) – “No, I have to be home by eight” – is the best response to the question “Could you work untill nine tonight?” Therefore, you should mark (C) on your answer sheet.
Now let’s begin with question number 5
Number 5.
Why do you like traveling by bus?
A. He likes traveling by bus
B. I think the train is safer
C. The bus is too cheap
Number 6.
What kind of music do you like most?
A. I like listening to music
B. Music is my favorite subject
C. I love jazz very much
Number 7.
What is your opinion about the selling of our product this year?
A. He is going to sell a new product
B. I think the sells have increased since last year
C. I don’t know about the product
Number 8.
Do you want to see the exhibition?
A. The exhibition would start soon
B. That sounds great, let’s go then

Part III Short Conversations
Questions: 9 to 11
Directions: In this part of the test, you will hear several short conversations. You will hear the conversation twice. The conversations will not be printed in your test book., so you must listen carefully to understand what the speakers say.
In your test book, you will read a question about each conversation. The question will be followed by four answers. You have to choose the best answer to each question and mark it on your answer sheet.
Example:
You will hear:
Man : The driver will meet you at the gate
Woman : What kind of car will he be driving?
Man : He’ll be driving a large, black limousine
You will read:
What will the woman do?
A. Look for a specific automobile
B. Wait at the door
C. Driving a car
D. Call a taxi
Choice (A) – “Look for a specific automobile” – is the best answer to the question “What will the man do?” Therefore, you should mark (A) on your answer sheet.
Now let’s begin with the following conversation

Man: Do you cook every night?
Woman: No, my roommate and I take turn. How about you?
Man: Oh. my maid does it
Woman: Who helps the woman do the cooking?

Part IV Short talks
Question 12 to 15
Directions: In this part of the test, you will hear several short talks. Each will be spoken twice. They will not be printed in your test book, you must listen carefully to understand and remember what it is said.
In your test book, you will read two or more questions about each short talk. Each question will be followed by four answers. You have to choose the best answer to each question and mark it on your answer sheet.

When you think of viking mountain, you probably think of world-class skiing and with good reason. But viking mountain is much much more. It’s also a world class summer resorts, offering, challenging, eighteen holes golf course, and the lake for swimming, fishing and boating. In late June, there is famous viking mountain jazz music festival. In July, an art and craft fair and summer hotel race are more than reasonable, rooms are half the ski season rate.
